McT's Restaurant ReviewA family-friendly dining experience with a very large menu. This is a kid dining zone (we call the restaurant McToddler's!!). A very large appetizer list with a large variety of items. Seafood is the specialty here with a wide selection of dishes. Always a busy and popular place for families. The memory I have of this restaurant is that there was a bird flying around in the rafters as we ate. Very distracting to say the least (more so since I hate birds!) Also, service was so poor my husband actually got up and got his own drink from the waiters station. The restaurant specializes in shrimp and offers over 20 different entrees made with shrimp. So if you like shrimp this will be the place for you. Also, McT's offers an "Early Bird Special". If you are one of the first 100 people to dine between 4:45 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. your dinner will cost $9.95 chosen from the selected early bird specials. That price on Sanibel is a great deal! No wonder the place is so crowded! This restaurant is sort of hard to see as you pass by on Periwinkle. Coming in from the causeway the restaurant is on the left hand side of the road. They did just repaint the building and the colors of blue and orange help the building stand out a little better. The parking lot looks small but is deep. Dinner is served from 4:45 to 10:00 p.m. daily. The Tavern opens at 4:00 pm. and is open until closing. Entrées range from $12.95 to $19.95. Located at 1523 Periwinkle Way. Phone: 239-472-3161.
