The Sanibel Cafe Restaurant Review
This restaurant is located in the Tahitian Gardens shopping plaza. It is a small café style restaurant but with a very large menu. The décor is unique with all of the tables inlayed with white murex shells in different designs. Each table has a different design layout.
The large collection of shells throughout the restaurant are very interesting. A very open space with large glass windows allows you to watch all the activity outside as you eat. After your meal you can walk under covered walkways to all the shops from the restaurant. The Sanibel Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees.
Fred was in the mood for a big breakfast the last time we went, as you can see from the picture. He was totally satisfied when we were done with the meal.
I recommend the “Viva la BLT” sandwich which is very good. They have many homemade specialty sandwiches from which to chose. Breakfast is served until 1:00 p.m. I recommend the waffles with your choice of topping. It is a huge portion so you will not leave hungry.
The restaurant is in a good location. While visiting all the shops in the Tahitian Gardens it is very easy to stop in and have a quick bite to eat. The covered walkways are plus if the weather is not the best.
The parking lot is huge, so parking will not be a problem. The Sanibel Cafe is located to the far right corner of the complex.
Average service, reasonably priced entrees ranging from $4.99 to $16.99. The hours are 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Located at 2007 Periwinkle Way. Phone: 239-472-5323.
